September Color Challenge Wrap-Up

Happy October! When we started working on our September Color Challenge projects, it definitely didn’t feel like fall (at least not in Boston). But now that it’s cool enough to break out the boots and pumpkin spice lattes, it’s also time to reveal your fall-inspired projects!

Here are the colors we worked with in September:

First up is Julie’s “Cuddled Up Charlie”. The detail in this piece is amazing – do you see how perfect the satin stitching is? Fun fact: if I didn’t have to go to work, I’d spend every day between October and April in my pjs wrapped up in a blanket, just like Charlie.

Glenda stitched up a super-cute pair of snuggle bunnies on a pillow case. Everybody got cozy this month! You can read more about this piece on her blog.

Kristi is clearly an overachiever and did not one, but two projects! The first is an itsy-bitsy stitcher and her little cup of tea.

And the second is this beautiful blackwork pattern that really highlights the fall colors for the month. You can visit her blog for more info on both pieces.

And finally, here’s my project: a felt hair comb that somehow manages to make a messy bun look mostly ok.

Update! Here’s Pam’s beautiful felt wreath – read more about it on her blog!

Are you inspired by these projects? I hope so! Come back on Wednesday to see what October’s colors* are!

*I made an executive decision this month and didn’t put the colors to a vote – it’ll be a surprise!
